The proposed new layout is based on FHS (Filesystem Hierarchy Standard) and Fedora Packaging.

Core Dogtag Certificate System

System locations are being used for:

  • utilities (scripts & binaries)
  • libraries
  • log files
  • lock files
  • default schema
  • certificate databases

Instance directories can exist wherever the user places them on the filesystem.
