Prerequisites#

Operating System#

The instructions are intended for the following platforms:

  • Dogtag 9.0

    • Fedora 15 (both 32-bit i686 and 64-bit x86_64)

  • Dogtag 1.3

    • Fedora 13 (both 32-bit i686 and 64-bit x86_64)

    • Fedora 12 (both 32-bit i686 and 64-bit x86_64)

    • Fedora 11 (both 32-bit i586 and 64-bit x86_64)

    • RHEL 5.5 [EPEL] (both 32-bit i386 and 64-bit x86_64)

Known Package Conflicts#

The following package(s) are known to conflict with the CA, DRM, OCSP, and TKS subsystems, and must be removed prior to running a Dogtag PKI:

``   rpm -ev tomcat-native.i386``
``   rpm -ev tomcat-native.x86_64``

Tools#

These, as well as all of the following, instructions rely upon the yum executable to download various packages.

The following tools must be installed:

`` yum install db4-devel gzip rpm rpm-build subversion tar wget zip``

The following versions of these tools must also be installed:

  • Perl 5.8.5 or later

`` yum install perl ``

  • ant 1.6.5 or later (Dogtag 1.3 and earlier and idm-console-framework and tomcatjss ONLY)

`` yum install ant``

  • ant-junit 1.6.5 or later (Dogtag 1.3 and earlier ONLY)

`` yum install ant-junit``
